Whether you’re burdened by providing for your family, caring for your loved ones, or carrying the emotional wounds of others, Allah promises great reward in carrying the burdens of others and maintaining ties of kinship. And if you turn away from all of that, Allah promises loss, not just of reward but of self.

لَا تَرْفَعَنَّ إلَى غَيْرِهِ حَاجَةً هُوَ مُوْرِدُها عَلَيْكَ، فَكَيْفَ يَرْفَعُ غَيْرُهُ مَا كَانَ هُوَ لَهُ وَاضِعًا؟! مَنْ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَرْفَعَ حَاجَةً عَنْ نَفْسِهِ فَكَيْفَ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهَا عَنْ غَيْرِهِ رَافِعًا

Appeal to no one but Him to relieve you of a pressing need that He Himself has brought upon you. For how can someone else remove what He has imposed? And how can he who is unable to free himself of a pressing need free someone else of one?

As we venture into the space of producing higher quality media, we’ve worked hard to make sure that our compliance with our religious ethics is not sacrificed. While Yaqeen has always produced vocals for our Ramadan series, this series was unique in that it also included the story of a family in the background. Our talented production team worked with our scholars to ensure that all actors were in proper hijab, and that all gender interactions were only by Mahrams in real life.
