An interview with the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, John Glen MP: The agenda for the City

Why you should watch: The City Minister's agenda is a full one. It includes the future of London as a FinTech centre after the Kalifa Review, implementation of the listings proposals made by Lord Hill, the new push on sustainable finance ahead of COP26 - and, of course, how to protect the UK's financial services industry post-Brexit and post-Covid. John Glen MP has represented Salisbury for the Conservatives since 2010 A former PPS to the then-Chancellor, Philip Hammond, he became Economic Secretary to the Treasury (and City Minister) in 2018. He is a former management consultant, with Accenture, who has also worked with his family firm in the horticultural business. He was educated at Mansfield College, Oxford.
