How to maintain a small above-ground pool. Intex swimming pool from Amazon with pump and filter

In this video, I will show you what I have been doing to keep up our 10-foot by 30-inch pool. It is an Intex brand pool. I recommend the slightly bigger Intex in the link below.

This is because it comes with a better filter and pump, is 2 feet wider, and maintains the same depth as the Intex above-ground pool I have. The 30-inch depth is perfect for my 3.5-year-old to play around in and float with his floaties but still be able to stand if he wants to.

Chemicals are simple. Chlorine tablets in a float and powered shock for Vynle every other week. The filter element is small on this particular pump. The one I have is below so you can see the difference.

That is mine just without the pump. I recommend if you are going to go for the smaller size, buy one without the pump, but with all the holes for one, then pick up this pump bellow

This will give you more circulation and filtration power so you won't have to run the pump so much or clean the filter media as often!

You also need a float for your chlorine tabs. This is the cheapest one on Amazon right now.

For a skimmer, I like a "leaf rake" style skimmer with a fine mesh so I don't need to vacuum
