0:00 - Intro

BAD:

1:05 - Little nitpicks

First is you have a Tiny frunk

Second is a classic Audi interior fault. They beautifully designed and brilliantly built, but for whatever reason they just LOVE Gloss black.

Third is the Rear floor hump.

Fourth, the Trunk load floor is a little high…but you do have air suspension so you can lower the car to make it easier to put things in the back…so could hardly be considered a fault

GOOD:

2:19 - Price

The Q8 eTron starts at 74,400 for the SUV body style and 74,700 for the sportback body style

Both of which come in THOUSANDS under the starting price of the Mercedes EQE SUV which starts at 77,900

And the BMW iX is even more expensive at $87,100 to start

3:04 - EV Stuff

HOWEVER, for 2024 Audi has squeezed more density into the battery pack making it 114kWh now
Audi hasn’t released an EPA confirmed MPGe figure yet, but i suspect it’ll be quite close to the old car which was just about 80 MPGe
So at the end of the day you’re looking at a much more competitive range figure of 285 miles for the SUV - that’s a jump of almost 60 miles from last year's car - that’s huge!
The more swoopy sportback body style will improve your range by 11 miles to 296, and if you really need 300 miles that Audi will happily sell you a Sportback with the ULTRA package…and those funky wheels have enough of an impact to get you to 300 miles on the nose

4:13 - The Drive

This car “only” makes 402 hp and “only” does 0-60 in the mid 5 second range

BUT it’s far and away the most refined and well calibrated power delivery of all of the modern EV luxury cars i’ve tested

Ultimately, this is just a BETTER luxury experience. It’s a better luxury experience than any gas car AND it’s a better and truer luxury experience than you get from te iX or EQE

5:39 - Looks

I know looks are subjective, but to me this looks better than either of the Tesla SUVs AND it looks better than it did last year

6:54 - Interior

You’re also met with really high-end leathers, aluminums, and woods AND you can get a dash trim insert made of recycled plastic bottles…nice
You’ve got typical luxuries like heated steats (standard)
Cooled seats in the premium plus trim
And massage seats in the prestige
Between those seats you’ve got a VERY deep center console with seemingly endless storage and practicality
And straight up from there you havea nice big pano roof
You’ve also got a heated steering wheels with those regen paddles that i love so much
As well as a nice upgraded Bang & Olufson sound system

7:44 - Towing

I was super impressed by this, but the Q8 eTron can tow up to 4000 lbs..idk for how far, but hey that’s pretty good

7:56 - Rear seats

We won’t spend too much time on this section, but just know that your rear passengers will be very comfy

With plenty of room, their own climate controls, heated seats, chargers, and dual pockets

I mean, even with the floor hump, i fit really well even at 6’1”

8:24 - Technology

You’ve got a 12 in virtual cockpit with all the cool stuff
Dual center screens
upper is info and media (10 in)
lower is climate and comfort (8 in)
great 360 cameras
driver assist systems are comprehensive

9:25 - Trunk

We mentioned the load floor is a little high, but you can drop that with a button back here

And then you just have a nice big trunk with seats that fold 40/20/40

And you have a deep cubby under the floor with, get this, a spare tire…you never see that anymore
