Naseer Shamma is challenged to translate certain words on the oud instrument, the oud is considered a fatherly instrument to many of today's popular stringed instruments, such as the guitar and the violin and yet widely absent in today's instrumental landscape. Naseer Shamma has made a name for himself when it comes to globalising the oud and ensuring it has its place on the world stage.

following the challenge he is asked to perform "from Assyria to Seville" a composition authored by Shamma specifically for the Oud, but has since been presented in various calibrations.

Naseer Shamma brings together sounds of the Arabian Oud and takes you on a journey to Andalusia, Anatolia and across the various shades of the middle east when it comes to this instrument, which dates back as early as 2350BC

يواجه نصير شمه تحديًا لترجمة كلمات معينة على آلة العود ، ويعتبر العود أداة أبوية للعديد من الآلات الوترية معتمدة اليوم ، مثل الجيتار والكمان ، ولكن يبقى الامر ان العود غائبة على نطاق واسع في مشهد الآلات في العالم. على الرغم من ذلك نصير شمه عمل كثيرا على عولمة آلة العود وضمان مكانته على الساحة العالمية.

يجمع نصير شمه أصوات العود العربي ويأخذك في رحلة إلى الأندلس والأناضول وعبر مختلف ألوان الشرق الأوسط عندما يتعلق الأمر بهذه الآلة التي يعود تاريخها إلى 2350 قبل الميلاد.
