Villains don't always wear a black cowboy hat, twirl a mustache, or have a scar across their face. While older movies tended to be very clear about who the bad guy was supposed to be, many newer movies and TV shows do the complete opposite.
They hide the villain among the good guys and wait until just the right moment for the big reveal. But just because they aren't outed early on doesn't mean there aren't plenty of hints about their identity — you just have to know where to look.

The most recent and most popular example of someone being "evil all along" — or a villain hiding in plain sight — is Agnes from "WandaVision." She wasn’t revealed as Agatha Harkness until late in the season, but there were numerous little signs that she was someone to watch out for.
