Yan Da from Ice Fantasy is the first character for the second day of the #meds50heads challenge and drawing 6. Yan Da is played by Zhang Meng / Alina Zhang. I like her sleek hair look better, but the puffy hair is such a classic Asian baddie look. She was probably my favorite female character as she showed the most character development. I kind of feel like they did her wrong and wish there was a third season. Actually, a lot of characters' individual storylines seemed to come to an abrupt end so I wish there was a third season just to give everyone the ending they deserve.

I started this one in the morning before there was much light in my studio. You'll notice the first drawing of both days is kind of rough as it's also pretty much a warm-up drawing. Day 2 in general was a rough art day. Sometimes it's like that. You just have to push through.

I've been watching a lot of Chinese fantasy series, both Xianxia and Wuxia, so why not use the characters to take on @AhmedAldoori 's #Meds50Heads challenge? The challenge is to draw 50 heads in 10 days, though mine will not be consecutive days as I have to film when my studio has sufficient light. It will very much depend on the weather. Of course I started this during the darkest time of the year as well. XD I will say that I have a good start on this though so you can look forward to a good number of art time lapse videos premiering soon!

I enjoy making fan art of my favorite characters in my favorite shows and I'm surprised that I can't find more of these characters in any of the shows I've been watching. I hope these actors are getting lots of fan art on the Chinese social media platforms and I hope they start getting more love and recognition on the English speaking ones as well.
