Fortune's Technology Editor, Alexei Oreskovic, shares his experience trying on the Apple Vision Pro and explains why he thinks right now it's not worth the price to splurge on it just yet.

Alexei details seeing the Vision Pro for the first time and his initial feeling was that it was a cool looking device, but not something that was "something completely unexpected or unprecedented."

However, when he tried on the headset, his opinion changed immediately.

"It's one of those things where you have to try it on and experience it. And once you do, it really just blows your mind."

Alexei was impressed with how well the headset tracked his eye sight and how accurate it was when he was clicking on certain prompts, such as the red X. He believes that when the prices go down, where analysts are saying in a few years it will reach $700 per headset, people will be more inclined to purchase the Vision Pro. That's when he thinks consumers will really be shelling out the money and not in the immediate term since there's no "killer app" just yet.
