Ta'leef Collective presents "An Intimate Conversation" with DR. SHERMAN JACKSON and USAMA CANON (Ta'leef Collective Founding Director).

Usama Canon interviews Dr. Sherman Jackson about his new book "Sufism for Non-Sufis." Dr. Jackson discusses the need for the Muslim community to address the issues surrounding the rectifying and reforming our character. Dr. Jackson contends that unless we confront the issues surrounding the refinement of the self and obedience to Allah, that very little will change in our individual or collective body.

Dr. Sherman A. Jackson is an American scholar. He is the King Faisal Chair of Islamic Thought and Culture and Professor of Religion and American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California. He was formerly the Arthur F.
