Food Rocks premiered on March 26, 1994 replacing the classic Epcot Center show Kitchen Kabaret in The Land pavilion. This benefit rock concert for good nutrition featured a variety of singing food organized by the nutritional pyramid (which is now defunct). The final concert was January 3, 2004, to make way for the Soarin' queue line.

In this home video you will see. . .
Exterior shots of the Food Rocks theater and signs out front advertising the show.
The first preshow holding area features interactive exhibits about nutrition. A sign says: “Good Nutrition is Easier than you Think!” & “See the Pyramids!”. The countdown clock has a banana swaying back and forth. You can smell food in the “What’s to Eat” exhibit boxes. “Kabobs” had rotating food pictures to make a balanced meal. “Kabobs for Kids” is almost the same as “Kabobs”. A three-dimensional food pyramid shows sample food in windows going up the pyramid. The carpet through the first room and second room have a blue colored pathway with food pictures on it.
The next room is a second holding area with the entrance to the theater and “Food Rocks presented by Nestlé” on a marquee over the doors. Huge pictures in the lobby feature acts in the show: a female singer with a fish arm and tail singing: “Share a tender moment with me.”
The “U-Tensils. The Grate Sound of Good Cooking.” A pineapple with leaf hair plays the piano and it says “A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop-a-wop-bam-boom”. A group of candy bars and sweets on a poster says “Get-the-Point Sisters”. A pita wrap with a sledge hammer says “Pita Gabriel”. A nutrition label with a face on it says “Don’t you be dissin’ the contents listin’. . .Fūd Wrapper”. Items inside a refrigerator with faces on them and it reads “Refrigerator Police''. A group of fruit says “Peach Boys”.
A cast member comes out of the “Stage Entrance” and gives the stay clear of the doors spiel and the automatic doors open.
The theater has a “Food Rocks presented by Nestlé” sign above it. Colored lights shine on the curtain. The show begins and the curtain lifts up!
The first act is The U-Tensils singing “We’ll Make it Count in the Kitchen”. A parody of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Queen provided the original background recording. Utensils come out of the stove playing instruments, which are also utensils. The lift and fog effect for Hamm & Eggz in Kitchen Kabaret were used for this act.
Our host Fūd Wrapper, voiced by Tone Loc, appears on a left side stage, and he introduces the next act.
The Peach Boys. Singing fruits talk about “Good Nutrition” to the tune of “Good Vibrations” from the Beach Boys. They are center stage.
The Excess, a junk food group, interrupts the concert for a little bit.
The Refrigerator Police. They come out of the fridge and sing “Every Bite you Take” to the Police’s “Every Breath you Take”. Jess Harnell did such a good job imitating Sting’s voice for this song, Sting himself said it was unnecessary to record vocals. Same with Peter Gabriel. The milk carton was previously Mr. Dairy Goods in Kitchen Kabaret.
Next, Pita Gabriel comes out of the cabinet and sings “High Fiber”, a parody of “Sledgehammer”. He is a singing pita wrap. Pita’s head was on sale in a 2017 auction.
The Excess interrupts again and Fūd Wrapper teaches them a lesson by singing “Always Read the Wrapper” which sounds like “Funky Cold Medina”.
Next, The Sole of Rock ‘n’ Roll, which is a fish with Cher’s face on it, comes down from the ceiling and sings “Just Keep it Lean” to the tune of “The Shoop Shoop Song”. This fish was voiced by Gloria Bellis.
The right side stage opens up and a pineapple with Little Richard’s face on it plays the piano and sings “Tutti Frutti” with the lyrics changed to teach about nutrition. Little Richard provided the voice for this character.
The left side stage opens up and Neil Moussaka, a vegetable, sings “Vegetables are Good for You” to the tune of Neil Sedaka’s “Breaking up is Hard to Do”. Sedaka provided the voice.
Another classic is Chubby Cheddar’s “Let’s Exercise”. A silhouette cheese slice with arms dances center stage to Chubby Checker’s “The Twist”. This was voiced by Chubby Checker. Even though this is a projection, the actual cheese was a puppet filmed in front of a green screen.
The Excess interrupts again and sings a non-parody song called “Give us Junk” which talks about being lazy and eating junk food. Fūd Wrapper unplugs the power and shuts them down.
A basket center stage spins around and it’s filled with singing treats called The Get-the-Point Sisters. They sing “Just a Little Bit” to the tune of Aritha Franklin’s “Respect”. They teach us to eat only a little bit of sweets. They are voiced by The Pointer Sisters.
Fūd Wrapper comes out one last time and reminds us to have harmony in our diet. Most of the cast appear on stage and sing “Choose Before you Chew” a parody of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
The curtain lowers and the audience exits out to the left.
