Many superheroes get their powers from science experiments gone wrong. In the case of Barry Allen, aka The Flash, a particle accelerator explosion gave him super speed. With some help from The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt The World has Ever Seen, National Labs turned this into a way to teach some real life accelerator science to some DC comics fans.
