The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has become the first political party in India to spend over 100 crore rupees on political advertisements on Google and its video platform YouTube. The amount spent by the BJP (over 101 crore rupees) equals the collective expenditure incurred by the Congress, DMK, and the political advisory firm Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC).
