Did we just travel 7,000 miles, catch 4 separate flights, ride on a speedboat, drive 3 hours and hike through the dense snake infested jungle just to come to the MOST populous Muslim majority country in the world!

You see, as well as being home to polished white beaches and active volcanoes, Indonesia is also home to more than 17,000 islands! Where some of the most remote indigenous tribes still live!

These nomadic people still practice animism and some still practice the worship their ancient ancestors!

They believe the ocean's and forests are home to many spirits who decide the weather or provide good health or a good harvest!

In order to attract their good will, they speak to shamans, who act as middlemen between them and the spirits.

But we know it is Allah alone who provides!

They perform different styles of dance inspired by animal’s movements.

Traditionally they live in small groups in longhouses. So they all gathered and celebrated our arrival with a special ceremony and honored us with fresh fruit and drinks.

They were very welcoming and more than happy to listen to us share the beautiful message of islam with the rest of the tribes people.

Simply sharing the message of Islam would have been great for us, but our 20,000 km round trip was worth it - because by the permission of Allah 5 people accepted Islam!
