At this free online event, we discussed the recently updated NICE guidelines on glucose monitoring for people with diabetes and assess the journey from guidance to implementation across the NHS for those planning and delivering services. We explored the challenges services might face as new health systems emerge and potential solutions.

Informed by those implementing the updated guidance in their local health system, the session explored the practicality of what implementing innovation means for the patient and their treatment pathway – especially for those with type 2 diabetes. The session also provided an opportunity to assess what needs to be done to meet the expectations of people living with diabetes and to ensure they are meaningfully engaged in developing services.

Through the lens of diabetes, you will learn how the system is working to implement updated guidelines for a long-term condition and integrate evidence-based technology and treatments into care pathways.
