Everardo González es uno de los documentalistas más reconocidos de México, país cuya escena artística es muy prolífica y con una gran tradición de cine y de cine documental.
En esta charla nos lleva en una reflexión que nos hace pensar el rol del cine en la comprensión de la realidad y de su particular proceso creativo. Mexican documentary filmmaker whose work is considered among the strongest in Latin America. His filmography includes La canción del
pulque (2003), Los ladrones viejos (2007), El cielo abierto (2011), Cuates de Australia (2011) and El Paso (2015), films screened and awarded in
various festivals such as Berlin, IDFA, Toulouse, Locarno, Montreal, BAFICI, Sarajevo, Guadalajara, Valladolid and Morelia. His most recent film La libertad of the Devil (2017) was recognized with the Amnesty International Award at the Berlinale.
In 2018 he directed A 3 Minute Hug, Netflixs Original in Latin America
for documentary. He collaborated with the New York Times Opdocs platform with Children from the Narcozone in 2019 nominated for the News and Doc Emmy Award in the category Outstanding New Approaches. He is a member of the Academies of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Mexico and the United States.
