DESCRIPTION:

Captain Kirk and his crew find and inadvertently revive a genetically augmented world conqueror and his compatriots from Earth's 20th century. While a guest on the Star Ship Enterprise, Khan Noonien Singh reads up on the nearly three hundred (300) years of history he's missed, plus a great deal of technical information on the Enterprise. However, through research, Kirk discovers that Khan is a genetic superman that escaped after the Eugenics Wars of Earth's 20th century.

SCRIPT:

Khan: Ahh. I'm sorry, Captain. I was, um, Lost in thought.

Khan: My door . . . Locked from outside, a guard posted.

Captain Kirk: Unusual treatment for Khan Noonien Singh.

Khan: Excellent. You identified me with your computer system, didn't you?

Captain Kirk: I'd like those answers now.

Captain Kirk: First . . . the purpose of your star flight.

Khan: A new life, a chance to build a world . . . other things I doubt you would understand.

Captain Kirk: Why? Because I'm not a product of controlled genetics?

Kirk: Captain, although your abilities intrigue me, you are quite honestly inferior.

Captain Kirk: Mentally, physically. In fact, I am surprised how little improvement there has been in human evolution. Oh, there has been technical advancement, but, uh, how little man himself has changed.

Khan: Yes, it appears we will do well in your century.

Khan: Captain, Do you have any other questions?

Captain Kirk: Thank you. They've all been answered.

Pastors: In my humble opinion (IMHO), even RATIONAL EUGENICS IS STILL EUGENICS. The best in the world will not remove the pain from those born into a world of germ-line modification but who had not been given a costly investment in their gametes. They will emerge with the complexity of a genome different from what this technology will be able to define as "normal." AGAIN, in my humble opinion (IMHO), I do not think anything short of a complete and TOTAL BAN ON HUMAN GERM-LINE MODIFICATION will do, to prevent this powerful force for rational medicine - one patient at a time - from becoming the beginning of the end of the simplest notion of each of us are "ENDOWED BY OUR CREATOR WITH CERTAIN INALIENABLE RIGHTS." #BrothersWeNeedToTalk.
