Simple Keychain / Key fob that you can make by yourself.

First step is making the pattern. With simply folding the paper you can make sure your template will be symmetrical. After cutting the paper template I transferred it to stronger paper / cardboard. That way you can use the pattern more than once.

For the cutting I used two different knifes, only to show that it doesn't really matter what you use.

Than I beveled and burnished the edges in the middle, because it will be hard to do when it's glued.

Next step is applying the glue, in my case it's contact cement that needs a bit of drying time before you stick it together an press it. Be careful, there is no chance to correct it if it sits wrong.

After that sanding, beveling and burnishing the edges is the next step. For burnishing I use tokonole, there are other products available. You need to find the one you like most.

In the next step I marked the Stitchline. For punching the holes I used a 1mm round hole stitching chisel with a spacing of 4mm (center to center). And a black 0,6 mm waxed thread.

I put a Spot on top to give it more strength an burnished the edges finally.

Of course you can use what ever you want for it, just make it your own little project. I hope you enjoy your time doing it.

I'm sorry for the bad English, I'm not a native English speaker and try my best to find the right words.
