This is a vehicle that was sold new in the United States, I promise you. And this very example spurred my foray into automotive journalism when I saw it street parked almost five years ago. Fast forward to today and I managed to connect with the new owner, who let me pore over it for this review.

The LaForza's main competitor was the Ranger Rover, and that was about it, as luxury SUVs weren't really a thing here in the US back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen would've been a competitor as well, but only in Europe, where the LaForza was sold as the Rayton Fissore Magnum.
