The CROWS (Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station) is a weapon system developed by Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace in Norway. It is designed to allow soldiers to remotely operate a variety of weapons from inside a protected vehicle or structure.

The CROWS system includes a mounted weapon, such as a machine gun or grenade launcher, which is operated by a gunner from a control station inside the vehicle. The gunner uses a joystick and screen to aim and fire the weapon, providing a safer and more accurate way to engage targets than firing from an exposed position.

The CROWS system has been used by the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan, and it has proven to be effective in reducing casualties and increasing situational awareness for soldiers. It has also been used by several other countries, including Canada, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The latest version of the CROWS system, known as the M153 CROWS II, has several improvements over earlier versions, including better optics, increased accuracy, and improved durability. It can be mounted on a variety of vehicles, including the Humvee and MRAPs (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles).
