The Donchian Channel Breakout System has been around for decades, with many of the best traders in the world using its methodology.

The creator Richard Donchian used the system to manage huge hedge funds with considerable success. The system looks for breakouts of new highs or breakouts of new lows. In essence the strategies concept is based on trend following and momentum.
