Dowsing is a form of divination that uses sound waves to find hidden objects. This method is used to locate ground water, gemstones, buried metals, oil, and claimed radiations. Some people believe that dowsing can help them find gravesites or even find 'earth vibrations' that are malignant. Nowadays we have a simpler solution for finding things hidden down deep.
