To better understand the root causes of the nurse staffing crisis, we have to go over three important contributing factors:
- An aging population means an aging workforce
- A third of nurses felt burnt out pre-pandemic
- EHR gets in the way of valuable time with patients

As we plan for 2023 and beyond, we can apply all that we learned to our current challenges by revisiting structures, processes, and operations with a fresh set of eyes in light of these new realities.
