About Penelope:
Penelope (aka Penny) was named after Pennywise the Dancing Clown as I'm a huge Stephen King fan. If you happened to notice our sweet Penelope's paws and are concerned, don't be! She is living her best life with us as a Triangle Beagle Rescue Beagle Alumni! We were her transport for the rescue and immediately decided we had to adopt her. She was either injured or born with her paw deformities, we're not completely sure. She has also had consults about corrective surgery and even a TBR fundraiser, but just as Covid started ramping up, things started closing down and we ultimately decided to not go through with the surgery which could be risky given her age and heart worm damage from her previous life. The fundraiser funds obviously went to helping her TBR beagles. She takes medication for arthritis pain and gets around just fine! Her favorite thing to do is hang out in the backyard and keep a lookout from the deck couch.
