On a trip to Gunnison, Colorado we came across an unexpected challenge and it made me ask myself "Do you need a Low Gear Transfer Case?" This is a complicated answer, some will say NO, some will say YES. Once the pavement ends, how steep will the trail be? How high up in elevation are going? Are you willing to risk body damage and push the limits of your vehicle? Perhaps getting twice the MPGs in your AWD is the reason you adventure in your AWD. like I said, it's a complicated answer.
