Since late 2019 up until Q1 2024 Porsche has sold ca. 147,000 Taycans worldwide. After the initial success, a number of technical issues caught up with the Taycan and annoyed customers. The Taycan is very expensive as new and this combined with the aggressive pricing by other EV manufacturers as well as the fact that Porsche pushed large Taycan volumes into the market has caused the prices of used Taycans to drop to a level which is unusual for Porsches.

This Taycan 4S is my third Taycan. I bought it used with just 14,000 km in mint condition. In this video I will explain in some more detail the key technical issues and recalls and what caused the used car prices to drop so much.

But the Taycan is still a great car and most of the issues have been resolved, however, many are still hesitant to buy one because of fears of expensive repairs.

This video is the first of several Taycan videos to come over the next weeks and months.
