There are more than one hiking option in the Sycamore Canyon \ Goodan Ranch County Preserve. Instead of doing them all in the same day, I would find it more rewarding to do more hiking there on a different day. With that in mind, this turned out to be my second hike of the day after visiting Woodson Mountain first. The easy grade of the trail made for a nice calm down hike after doing the heavier climbing in the previous hike. The trail peacefully travels the ridge and the canyon floor in a loop pattern before climbing back to the parking lot atop Cardiac Hill.
