This video describes the TRIVOT compliant mechanism (TRIple crossed flexure piVOT). This mechanism, based on a kinematic design with zero center shift, has a parasitic shift that is one order of magnitude smaller than the widely used crossed flexure pivot. It is hence expected to become a competitive
alternative for applications where high accuracy, low friction and
compactness are desired. A laser-cut mock-up was fabricated to demonstrate a planar implementation. The video also presents a pseudo-rigid-body model (PRBM) of the mechanisms.
