In this video we demonstrate how to prevent your rear window from potentially catching on fire and exploding. The initial recall was only issued in Canada as described here:

GM's Initial solution was to simply pull the fuse but they did come out with updated guidance described in the N192265660 link below. GM later issued N192265660 - Customer Satisfaction Program Rear Window Defroster Thermal Events - In the US as described here:
