Justin Bieber’s mother would post her son’s performance from a local talent competition, without much thought. At 12 years old, Bieber would sing songs from Aretha Franklin, Ne-Yo, Lil Bow Wow, and more. Although his voice earned him 2nd place, it also caught the attention of his current manager Scooter Braun. Braun and Bieber would work together, eventually launching his career into pop stardom at 16 years old. Bieber’s music was a hit with teen girls, branding him a heartthrob of his generation. From the iconic haircut to the cheesy love songs, the masses caught Bieber Fever. This was truly a dream come true for Justin and his mother. However, not everyone was so impressed with the pop star’s rise. As the 16 year old amassed a fan base, he also amassed an equal amount of dedicated haters. Every move began to be analyzed and criticized, his songs were parodied and made fun of, and legacy media also boarded the hate train. Today though, that vile disdain for Justin Bieber has dissipated. Individuals are no longer shunned for listening to Bieber’s songs. How in the world did that happen? How does someone who is so hated go to someone who is so loved? While it seems like an impossibility, many celebrities do it all the time. Bieber looks as if, he is going down that road as well.
