Just in time for Star Wars Day, I built a replica of Cal Kestis's lightsaber from the video game "Jedi: Fallen Order!"

This lightsaber hilt is fully resin printed using Anycubic’s “High Speed” Resin. I’ve since switched to their “ABS-like” resin because, as you’ll see in the video, their high speed stuff proved to be quite brittle.

Getting a realistic, metal look on 3D printed parts can be quite the challenge, but on this project I think I got at least 99% of the way there using my patent pending Brushed Metal Technique™️. The prep work is really what sells this effect and in this video, I’ll walk you through all my the steps I took to get there!
