For as long as most car enthusiasts in the US can remember, Europe has been hogging the hottest of the hatchbacks for themselves. Let’s pray then, that the arrival of the heavenly Fiesta ST is a kick in the pants for the rest of the industry, because we need more hatchy goodness in our lives.

Gary’s Fiesta is Cobb Stage 3, which, in our opinion, is how the car ought to have been delivered from the factory: conservative without being sluggish and powerful without being undriveable. More notable than the power, though, is the handling and fun-to-drive nature of this spritely little econobox. If you’re given the chance to test drive the diminutive ST, see if you can do it on a twisty road. You won’t regret it.
