One month ago, a YouTuber by the name of Fidias flew to Japan in order to film a video called, “I travelled across Japan For Free”. In the video he breaks several laws just for content like begging for money, stealing food, and sneaking on the train and bus without paying. This incident reveals a more disturbing trend on social media that seems to be growing. Individuals seem to be all catching a case of what pop culture likes to call “main character syndrome”. Many posters with this “disease” seem to create content at the expense of other people, treating everyone in their videos like an NPC or background character.
