Just two short years after a total rework, the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe is getting another redo that touches the inside and out, and adds a new range of powertrains including a hybrid model. Outwardly, the new look brings a stronger road presence — the eye-catching vertical LED daytime-running lights, bolder headlights and sharper taillights being striking additions.

Slip inside and it’s more of the same in the Luxury model tested. Ahead of the driver, the 12.3-inch digital instrumentation is clean and uncluttered with the look changing according to the drive mode selected. The other big change is the shifter lever has also gone away in favour of a set of push-buttons. On that note, if you have a button fetish this is your ride — there are 29 controls on the centre console alone!
