Removal of authorized users from a Navy Federal credit card can be voluntary or involuntary.
Joint owners wishing to be removed from an account must submit a written request or complete the “Voluntary Removal of Joint Owner Request Form.” To do this:
• Go to navyfederal.org on a web browser to access the Navy Federal web page and search “NFCU 596.”
• Click the “Navy Federal® Voluntary Removal of Joint Owner Request” hyperlink on the resultant page.
• Download the document, fill in the required details in their respective fields, and submit the form to Navy Federal.
Note: Submissions can be made physically to a Navy Federal Branch, faxed to 703-206-4600, or mailed to Navy Federal Credit Union, PO Box 3002, Merrifield, VA 22116-9887. Online submissions via your Navy Federal account are also acceptable.
On the other hand, involuntary removals can be done by the primary account holder closing the account and opening a new one.
