My reunion with Gabriel was supposed to be 'LIVE' but there was not wireless out in the camps. This was recorded live. Due to a job and Covid restrictions, I was unable to return to South Africa for over 2.5 years. The opportunity presented itself and met Gabriel. I was actually nervous about it.

The encounter went as expected but I had a greater purpose returning than simply to see, care for, feed and enrich Gabriel's life. My plans for his and my future were delayed like our reunion. I had planed on moving Gabriel to another cheetah breeding project to become a breeder there months ago.

A few days after my arrival in South Africa, I moved Gabriel to a new cheetah project. He will remain on lone as a breeder while I prepare my own cheetah breeding and release project close by. He is already loving the move; enjoying all the new scents, sites, and sounds of different cheetahs and wildlife in the area.

Three females are curious about him but holds his heart but playing hard to get! Gabriel is actually 'calling' to females for the 1st time I've ever heard. The arrangement I made is that all of Gabriel's cubs will be raised by mom and released; baring any medical reason not too.

This is the next stage in our project dreams. More cheetahs will join our sprouting coalition and be announced and introduced later. Much much more to come with this wonderful program to save the cheetah. Both Gabriel and I are trying to do our part while enriching all of our lives in the process.
