"Sapporo Snow Festival is famous when it comes to sightseeing in Hokkaido in winter, but there is also the Otaru Snow Light Path, which is held in the neighboring town of Otaru, which is also a recommended event.

It is a fantastic winter event where Otaru's old townscape is gently illuminated by the warm light of candles handmade by citizens and volunteers at Otaru Canal, the former JNR Temiya Line venue, and other locations throughout Otaru.

This year it was held from February 10th to 17th, 2024.

The name ``Otaru Snow Light Path'' comes from Sei Ito's ``Yuki Light Road''.
