When someone has had a seizure, our expert says that they should see an epilepsy specialist. This type of specialist has neurology training and additional training in epilepsy. An epilepsy specialist will know the tests to give to determine if the seizure was caused by epilepsy, and to understand if the seizure was provoked or unprovoked.
