After Leto D'Vane hung himself in the stables at such a young age, heartbroken over what had happened to his friend, Evienne, it sent the neighboring families of D'Vane and Moreau into a constant feud. Cade nearly lost his mind, blaming himself for his brother's sorrow and retaliated when Lord Moreau physically lashed out. The man was killed and Cade exiled for the crime, finding himself in the desert kingdom of Akasia where he would be thrown into the middle of a civil war. There, like a beacon of light, he meets the girl the Akasians call an Oracle...only to find out she was far more. Kida'gakash was in fact Evienne Moreau. She must somehow find her place in Windevale, a land that feels so foreign to her, along with the exiled nobleman who never believed in prophecies...until now.
