We had 24 hours in Luang Prabang, Loas, and what better way to spend it, than eating loatian food with laotian locals and our new friends.

When we started our Laos adventure, we met a guy called Xayphone, our guide on our 2 day mekong river cruise. When we completed the trip, he invited us to his house to eat with him and try some Loatian food. There was no way we were going to say no. Our friends Steve and Anouke also joined us (I'm sure you will remember their faces from the boat cruise).

As we were going to help make the laotian food, we first had to buy the ingredients. When walking around the market, we found very interesting food for sale. Food that we definitely did not want to eat but Xayphone was not going to let us run away without getting a good taste of the loatian food. Let's just say that there were rats, and frogs there to buy :0

But before heading to the market to buy the ingrediants to cook our food, We decided to rent a scooter in Luang Prabang and head to Kuang Si waterfalls. Apprently this is one of the best waterfalls to see in Laos. Upon our arrival, we stumbled upon some sun and moon bears which was totally unexpected. We have never seen a bear before so this was our first time.

As we have said many times, Loas is starting to become one of our favourite countries.
