Felix the Cat Comic Collection: The Felix Annual (1924-1961)

Felix, beyond traditional comics, was also the star of various print books, many of which
predate the standard comic book format we know today.


Although information on these early books is quite scarce, I'll do my best to share what I've
gathered over the years. If you have additional information or corrections, please let me know!


Our initial focus is on the "Felix the Cat Annuals" book series. These annuals featured reprinted
newspaper cartoon strips, akin to later U.S. comic book series, and were centered around
popular cartoon characters of the era.


Published by Daily Sketch & Sunday Graphics LTD. in London, the "Felix the Cat Annual" series
spanned from 1924-1929, with a brief revival attempt in the 1960s by Purnell & Sons.
