2020 Nissan Rogue Sport MR20DD engine repair and overhaul. In this video, I am reviving a 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport engine to its normal state. Due to a broken valve, I had no choice but to tear apart 85% of the engine to fix it. There are NO repair manuals for this car or service manuals for the Nissan rogue sport. This repair is all from experience and what I could find online which was very little.

The car was burning smoke like crazy and quit running. When I removed the valve cover all I saw was sludge. So I spent hours cleaning the engine of sludge as well as did an engine flush.

Later I had a P0300 code and figured out what was causing it. The culprit was actually quite shocking to me. It was the first time I ever encountered this problem.

I do not show me taking the car apart, but I do show me putting it back together again. I go into detail about many aspects of the repair to help those that are dealing with the same problems. I used to be a mechanic before I joined the Army, and luckily I was able to do this repair. It was not easy, and Nissan did everything within their power to make sure no one but the dealership works on this car. It is despicable.

This video is an edited version of the 14 hours of video I have of me doing this repair. It took me over a month and a half due to limited time, and waiting for parts from Japan. I am not happy with the 2020 Nissan Rogue sport or Nissan. I will never buy another Nissan again.

You will see me doing a valve job, lapping valves, removing and installing valve springs, replacing gaskets, head gasket, timing chain, camshafts, sensors, fuel injectors, and fuel pressure sensor, timing chain guides, timing cover, replacing filters, installing a throttle body, followers, alternator, and much more.

Nissan had made it where they are the only ones that can work on the car. Everything needs to be done by the dealer. Other Import repair shops passed on working on my car. They knew what kind of a headache was involved. There are no aftermarket parts, and everything needs to come from the dealer. It is disgusting.
