Today we will be discussing everyone’s favorite deus ex machina, time travel and alternate timelines. The screenwriters did their best to simplify time travel, stating near the beginning of the film that the future cannot be affected by them meddling in the past which just makes everything so, so confusing when you start to think about it and we’ve been thinking a lot about it so let’s dive in.

So, the act of time travel is made possible thanks to Hank Pym and the quantum realm wherein time works much, much differently. The 5 years after the decimation were only 5 hours for Scott and knowing this, he brought the information to the Avengers who in turn reached out to Tony...and you know the rest.
