WEEPHOLE KNOCKOUTS
4 weephole knockouts allow for standing water in the basin to drain into the soils below. Prevent potential bacteria, algae growth and decay, foul smells & development of mosquito breeding grounds which can lead to diseases such as Zika & West Nile viruses. Flip basin over to find 4 indentions on the corners, each with an open slot to receive a screwdriver blade.

HOW TO KNOCK OUT WEEPHOLES
Use a hammer, a Phillips or slotted screwdriver, and appropriate protective equipment.
Place basin upside down on a firm, flat surface
Align screwdriver blade in the receiving slot of knockout indentation
Strike screwdriver handle end downward using moderate force with a hammer
Twist away & remove knocked-out plastic

CUT-OUT GUIDES
A set of cut-out guides on solid basin sides provide improved adaptability for both inletting & outletting of the catch basin. Circular cut-out guides for 3 & 4 in. diameter sewer-and-drain pipes allow for multiple invert elevations to better align & connect with existing pipe runs & improve flow-through within the basin: 2 elevations on 9 in. basin, 3 on 12 in. basin. Centered on each basin side is a keyed circular cut-out guide. Cut out opening for appropriate NDS outlet adapter to make connections to 3 to 8 in. diameter drain pipes. Additional cut-out guide on bottom allows for another keyed opening if needed.

HOW TO USE CUT-OUT GUIDES
Cut openings with just a few common tools: hole saw, keyhole saw, or jig saw; slotted screwdriver or drill can be used to make a hole to start your cut.

CONCRETE DEPTH GUIDESLook for instructions on basin sides for correct depth of the concrete collar required for basins subject to vehicular loading:
4 in. depth required to achieve NDS Class B loading for cars & light trucks
6 in. depth for NDS Class C, or AASHTO H-20 load rating
Always select the appropriate grate, use the right type of concrete mix, and install per NDS details and specifications to achieve the desired load rating.

The re-designed 9 & 12 in. Catch Basins are compatible with the same NDS products as the original basins: risers, drainage grates, outlet adapters, and filters.
