Ahrtal, December 2021: The flood disaster was almost six months ago, and most of the houses have either been demolished or gutted. Markus is rebuilding his house thanks to the help of many helpers. Despite some setbacks, he is optimistic about the future. Horst, on the other hand, finds it difficult to come to terms with his experiences and sees humanity as having a responsibility due to the way it treats our planet. While the two and many more in the Ahr valley are struggling with the aftermath of the flood, car fans are doing their laps at the nearby Nürburgring, the longest Formula 1 track in the world.
