Disney's new movie "Wish" seems quite interesting. However, upon re-watching the trailers more closely, it appears that The King Magnifico might not be the villain he's made out to be. Asha is clearly unhappy that The King doesn't fulfill all the villagers' wishes, and he openly acknowledges this. In response, Asha attempts to make a wish upon a star herself. Nevertheless, it's not entirely clear if The King is in the wrong for not granting every wish. The direction of the story will likely depend on his underlying reasons for this.
