Analyzing protein levels in urine through clinical testing is crucial when evaluating kidney health and treatment outcomes in patients with lupus nephritis. Yet in certain instances, the presence or absence of kidney inflammation may not affect proteinuria levels, which can give clinicians an inaccurate portrayal of kidney health. He’ll be leading an oral presentation at this year’s American College of Rheumatology 2022 annual conference.
