The updated Kodiaq is still the largest of the bunch and is available as a five- or seven-seater. The starship on wheels has been given a revised exterior design and a few new features on the inside. There is also news to report under the hood.
The engine range is now nice and clear, because there is only one choice: a 1.5-liter TSI engine that is good for 150 hp and 250 Nm, which is available from 1,500 rpm. It is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic.
We are familiar with this engine and, especially in combination with the DSG automatic transmission, it forms a happy marriage. The Kodiaq may be big, but with this drivetrain you never feel like you're running out of power. In addition, the automatic transmission switches on early, so that the revs remain low and so does the consumption.
