Ok - hardest I've ever driven the Hellcat on a track + running down a purpose built LS swapped BMW 24hr endurance race car = potential for BAD things to happen, lol! Caught him & was waved around, but not in a spot I felt comfortable passing, so I stayed behind him.

Was having a really solid run, but in addition to the tires getting "greasy", my brake fluid was running a bit hot. Just upgraded the brakes a couple months ago for this track - still "street based", not a "track" setup, but better front rotors, pads, steel braided lines & DOT4 fluid. Apparently not all DOT4 fluid is the same though. The one I used had a dry temp of 500f. 4600lb car with 2 pax on a tight course, the fluid eventually boiled.

Having the BMW miss a gear (or have a mechanical issue - can't remember exactly what the driver told me afterwards) in the middle of the apex din't help matter either, lol! BUT - lesson learned: always have a plan in case of emergencies!

Already replaced the fluid with some Castrol racing fluid (590f temp). Plan is now to get some new/better tires & then try out Circuit of the Americas next. Charger should be much better suited for that course. We'll see!

Thank you all for watching - hope you enjoy! Feel free to tell me everything I did wrong in the comments, lol!
