You can overcome fear of driving and this video details driving phobia treatment. Having a driving anxiety can restrict your life, so it's important to face your fear so that you can start living life without limitations.

Having a driving anxiety can range from the specific fear of driving on highways/ bridges/ tunnels to avoiding driving altogether.

The basic premise of driving phobia treatment is to drive as often as possible. But, of course, if you try to do this quickly, and jump in at the deep end, it will scare you even more. So, it's important to take it step-by-step and take your time working up to your ultimate goal. There is no rush in increasing your driving confidence.

There are many psychological aspects to reducing your driving anxiety. This video concentrates on behaviors, thoughts and feelings and what you can do to help yourself be successful before and during being out on the road.

If you have driving anxiety goals, here are the tips I discuss in the video:
1. Set an intention for every drive
2. Learn to breathe more slowly and consciously
3. Prepare yourself for success like a performance
4. With self-awareness, you are in control of your emotions
5. If you feel panicky in the car, pull over when it's safe to do so, but try to stay in the car
6. Be kind to yourself, even if you have a setback

Driving anxiety, or vehophobia is common, but is absolutely possible to overcome on your own. You can do this. Picture your goal, prepare for it, then act on it.

Driving phobia treatment is possible. It will require patience, practice and gradual progression.
