In this video I forge a 3lb viking style cross-peen hammer from a black of 1045 steel. I also forge an Engraving chisel from a piece of coil spring and engrave Norwegian viking age runes that spell out "FIRE" and "IRON'. This was my first attempt at hammer and chisel engraving and I learned a lot. This project spanned several months as I had little time to work on personal projects.
